Spotlight: Frigidaire Gallery 36" Side-by-Side Refrigerator — Save Over $700 Off Big-Box Retail

Every week we shine a light on one appliance that delivers outsized value for Canadian homeowners. This week, it's a family-sized fridge that checks all the boxes without the big-box price tag: the Frigidaire Gallery GRSS2652AF 36" Side-by-Side Refrigerator in smudge-proof stainless steel.

Why We Love This Fridge

Side-by-side refrigerators remain one of the most practical layouts for busy households, and the Gallery GRSS2652AF is a standout in the category:

• 25.6 cu. ft. of storage — a full-size 36-inch fridge with room for weekly family grocery hauls, tall bottles, and frozen bulk buys.
• Thru-door ice and exterior water dispenser — cold water and ice on demand, no door-opening required. That's convenience and energy savings in one.
• Eye-level freezer and fridge access — the side-by-side layout means less bending and easier organization for everyone in the house.
• Smudge-proof stainless steel — resists fingerprints and wipes clean easily, so your kitchen keeps its showroom look.

Who It's For

This fridge is ideal for medium-to-large households that want dispensed water and ice, serious freezer capacity, and a premium stainless look. If you're replacing an aging fridge or upgrading a kitchen without a full renovation budget, the GRSS2652AF hits the sweet spot of size, features, and price.

The Savings Math

Here's where it gets good. This model typically retails around $1,900 at big-box stores. At Oxbury Appliances, our pricing looks like this:

• Open Box – Scratch & Dent: $1,199 — that's over $700 off typical retail, and $316 less than buying it new.
• New Box: $1,515 — still well below big-box pricing.
• Factory Refurbished: $1,135 — the deepest discount when available.

Our open-box units are fully functional appliances that may have minor cosmetic marks — often on the sides or back where you'll never see them. Same cooling performance, same capacity, hundreds of dollars back in your pocket. We have three open-box units in stock right now, and at this price they don't tend to stay long.
