Laundry day gets a whole lot easier with the LG DLEX5500V 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Dryer — a full-size, family-friendly machine that pairs dependable drying power with the kind of modern styling you'd expect from a premium model. And because it's available at Oxbury Appliances in New Box, Open Box, and Factory Refurbished conditions, you can bring it home for hundreds less than you'd pay new at the big-box chains.
Why Canadian homeowners love this dryer
- Big 7.3 cu. ft. capacity — plenty of room for bulky comforters, bath towels, and oversized family loads, so you spend less time running back-to-back cycles.
- Sensor Dry technology — moisture sensors automatically adjust the drying time as your clothes dry. That means less over-drying, gentler fabric care, and lower hydro bills.
- Multiple dry cycles & temperature settings — dedicated options for everyday wear, delicates, heavy-duty loads, and more, all with adjustable dryness and temperature controls.
- Stackable, space-saving design — pair it with a compatible LG washer and stack the two to reclaim valuable floor space in condos, apartments, and tight laundry closets.
- Durable stainless-steel drum — built to resist snags and stand up to years of regular use.
- Sleek graphite-steel finish — a contemporary look that fits right into a modern laundry room.
At 27" wide, 38.7" tall, and 30" deep, it's a standard full-size footprint that drops neatly into most laundry spaces (allow about 51" of depth with the door open).
Who it's for
The DLEX5500V is a smart match for busy households that generate a lot of laundry, as well as condo and apartment dwellers who want a large-capacity dryer that can stack to save space. If you're replacing an aging, energy-hungry dryer — or building out a fresh laundry pair — this is a reliable, great-looking workhorse that won't stretch the budget.
The Oxbury savings breakdown
Here's where it gets good. A comparable full-size LG electric dryer typically carries a higher price tag new at the big-box retailers. At Oxbury, the same model is priced across three conditions so you can pick the deal that fits your budget:
- New Box: $999 CAD
- Open Box – Scratch & Dent: $899.10 CAD — roughly $100 off, for a fully functional unit that may have minor cosmetic marks from handling or display.
- Factory Refurbished: $809.19 CAD — around $190 off (nearly 20% savings), professionally restored and tested to work like new.
Open-box and refurbished appliances deliver the same drying performance as brand-new — the only real difference is a small cosmetic blemish or the box being opened. For most homeowners, that trade-off means hundreds of dollars back in your pocket for a machine that runs exactly the same.
Right now we have Open Box – Scratch & Dent units in stock, but at these prices they don't last long.
